"Back to the Roots: An Adventure Returning to the Motherland (Indonesia)"
This is the blog of my return trip to Indonesia, where this time we will explore together my exciting adventures when I returned to my home country after living abroad for approximately one month. It's a journey full of emotion, excitement, and reflection. Let's start!
When the plane door opened, my heart was very happy because I could meet my beloved family again. The dark night and cold weather of Banjarmasin City greeted me. This experience is truly extraordinary.
Returning to my hometown, I couldn't stop myself from celebrating the typical culinary delights of my country, especially the typical food of the city of Banjarmasin. Starting from street food to traditional dishes that can awaken appetites that have long been in decline

On the way home, my friends and I decided to take advantage of the long transit time in the stopover city, namely Changi Airport, Singapore. Even though it was just a stopover, the desire to explore new destinations pushed me to get out of the airport and enjoy the beauty of this unexpected city.
Changi Airport in Singapore is the perfect blend of sophistication, beauty and comfort. Known as one of the best airports in the world, Changi amazes visitors with its innovative architectural design, verdant tropical gardens, stunning works of art and world-class facilities. Jewel Changi, a spectacular shopping and entertainment center, is a major attraction with its impressive waterfall. Friendly customer service, international culinary options and convenient healthcare facilities make Changi Airport an unforgettable travel experience for every passenger.

Arriving at the Merlion station, I immediately realized that the Merlion statue was covered by scaffolding and partitions. Even though the direct view of the Merlion is lost, the atmosphere around the park is still lively and enchanting. People walking around enjoying the beauty of Marina Bay.
Instead, I immortalized the moment by taking photos around Merlion Park, waiting for the day when this iconic statue would shine again. I left the park with a smile on my face, realizing that true adventure is not just about the final destination, but also about the experiences along the way.
Even though Merlion is taking a break from face-to-face contact, I took home fond memories of my adventure in Singapore. I'm sure someday I will come back here and greet the Merlion which has returned after undergoing a period of renovation.
